Water basin Faucet Leakage repair
Shut off the water supply to the faucet to prevent water flow during repair. Remove the faucet handle by loosening screws or prying off decorative caps. Disassemble the faucet to access internal components such as cartridges, washers, O-rings, springs, or seals, depending on the faucet type (compression, cartridge, ball, or ceramic disk). Inspect all parts for wear, damage, or mineral buildup; clean or replace faulty parts like washers, O-rings, seals, or cartridges. Apply plumber’s grease to new or cleaned parts to ensure smooth operation and prevent leaks. Reassemble the faucet carefully, ensuring all components are aligned and seated properly. Turn the water supply back on and test the faucet to confirm the leak is fixed and no water drips remain. Tighten mounting hardware and supply hoses if necessary to secure the faucet and prevent leaks at the base or connections.
